Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQ About Market Intelligence Publications

What are these publications?

These are research-driven market intelligence publications designed to highlight opportunities across different time horizons.

They are not newsletters in the traditional sense — they focus on idea discovery, frameworks, and risk/reward analysis, not headlines or commentary for commentary’s sake.

What this is — and what it isn’t

This is:

  • Research-driven market intelligence
  • Idea discovery
  • Risk/reward analysis
  • A framework for thinking about markets

This is not:

  • Personalized investment advice
  • A signal service
  • A guarantee of outcomes
  • A replacement for your own judgment

Who are these publications for?

They are for market participants who already understand how markets work, but want:

  • Better idea flow
  • A repeatable analytical framework
  • Exposure to opportunities they may not be seeing on their own

They are not designed for very beginners or for people looking to be told exactly what to buy or sell.

Are these investment recommendations?

No.

All content is provided for educational and informational purposes only.

Ideas are presented as research classifications, not personalized investment advice or recommendations.

How are ideas generated?

Ideas come from a combination of:

  • Multiple market screeners
  • Deep company-level research
  • Macro and economic data
  • Market structure and positioning
  • Years of hands-on experience analyzing markets

Each idea reflects a process, not a single indicator or opinion.

How is this different from other market services?

Most services focus on:

  • Predictions
  • Alerts
  • Headlines
  • One-size-fits-all recommendations

Zulfiqar Research focuses on:

  • Idea discovery
  • Risk/reward framing
  • Clear scenarios
  • Transparency around what could go wrong

If you’re so good, why are you selling ideas?

Zulfiqar Research is a business — and it exists because there’s a real gap in the market.

A lot of capable investors and traders:

  • Know how to execute
  • Understand risk
  • Have capital ready

But they struggle with one thing: finding quality ideas consistently.

That’s the gap Zulfiqar Research is filling.

I spend my time running screeners, digging through companies, following macro data, and connecting dots most people don’t have the time or inclination to follow. Turning that work into a business simply means monetizing idea discovery and research, not just outcomes.

Importantly, this doesn’t replace my own investing. It complements it.

Some ideas don’t fit my portfolio size, timing, or risk constraints — but they may be perfectly suitable for others who are looking for opportunities and have their own decision-making process.

In short: there’s demand for better idea flow — and Zulfiqar Research exists to meet that demand.

Will you front-run readers or trade the same ideas?

Zulfiqar Research is built on research integrity, and front-running readers would directly undermine that.

Here’s how this is handled in practice:

  • We do not buy first and then publish ideas.
  • Ideas are shared based on research, setup quality, and risk/reward — not personal execution.
  • We may trade or invest in the same ideas if they fit our own portfolio, risk parameters, and timing.
  • When we do, we allow a reasonable amount of time after publication before taking any personal position.

Importantly:

  • Zulfiqar Research is not a signal service
  • There is no coordinated execution or “buy now” language
  • Levels, zones, and stops are provided as analytical reference points, not synchronized instructions

Many ideas discussed are sufficiently liquid, and readers are never expected to act at a specific time or price. Our personal portfolio constraints, position sizing, and timing may differ from those of readers — and in many cases, we may choose not to act on an idea at all.

The goal is transparent idea sharing, not price impact or short-term trading around publications.

Trust is foundational. Without it, this business doesn’t work.

Is this a pump-and-dump scheme?

No.

Zulfiqar Research is explicitly structured to avoid that behavior.

Here’s how:

  • Ideas are presented as research classifications, not “buy now” alerts
  • We do not promote illiquid names for the purpose of short-term price spikes. (Read more about this in publication specific section)
  • There is no coordinated entry or exit timing
  • No guarantees, no urgency language, no hype

In Patient Capital, many ideas are:

  • Underfollowed
  • Unpopular
  • Often ignored for long periods

That’s the opposite of a pump-and-dump dynamic.

In Tactical Trader Notes, ideas focus on:

  • Liquidity
  • Clear risk parameters
  • Transparency around what could go wrong

Additionally:

  • Ideas are tracked and revisited, not abandoned after publication
  • Losing or invalidated ideas are acknowledged openly
  • There is no incentive to “move” prices — only to surface opportunities

Pump-and-dump schemes rely on secrecy, urgency, and hype. Zulfiqar Research relies on process, transparency, and accountability.
